Debbie Rachlis, M.A., J.D.
Debbie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in June 2014 and completed her articles with Waldman & Associates. She was called to Bar of Ontario in June 2015 and returned to the firm as an Associate.
Before law school, Debbie obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) From Trent University and a Masters degree in Political Economy from Carleton Unversity.
As a law student, Debbie spent a semester in the Immigration Division of Parkdale Community Legal Services, and volunteered at the family court at 47 Sheppard where she assisted unrepresented litigants with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Debbie has experience representing clients in applications for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, Pre-Removal Risk Assessments, Ministerial Relief and work permits. She has appeared before the Immigration & Refugee Board, and also has special expertise in matters involving the intersection of immigration and family law, domestic and gender-based violence, and working with individuals with mental health issues.
